Thursday 12th of October from 6pm to 8pm @$165pp . This is a demonstration with some hands-on elements, in the SIMON JOHNSON Cooking School for up to 20 people.
The Masterclass will be hosted by Sarah and by our SIMON JOHNSON dedicated Caviar Ambassador who will showcase our unique range of caviar.
Sarah will bring a fresh take to this Masterclass and will demonstrate how to cook three of her favourite recipes: Fried Chicken & Chive Wontons; Steamed Lobster Dumplings; and Crispy Seaweed & Beef Tartare. A bonus sample recipe from her latest cookbook will be provided too! Guests will receive tasting samples of all dishes created, served with caviar and paired with the best wines. This demonstration class will have some hands-on elements, so it is a must-attend if you want to learn how to cook like Sarah Tiong.
Our caviar expert will explain the different varieties of caviar and fish roe followed by a guided tasting. You will learn how to taste caviar in the most authentic way, traditionally as the experts do – revealing the subtle differences of each style of caviar to give you an understanding of how to enjoy and select the best product.
ABOUT
Sarah Tiong is a MasterChef Australia 2017 finalist with a strong passion for Asian cuisine and culture. Born and raised in Sydney, Sarah has always been involved in the kitchen and her mother would routinely teach her the recipes and techniques from her own childhood in Malaysia. Food, family, and love are synonymous to Sarah. Cooking for friends and relatives from an early age, Sarah began taking her passion seriously and has been developing her own recipes since she was 17. With an undeniable and unstoppable passion for creating elegant, beautiful, and generous dishes, Sarah wants to incorporate her ideal cooking style, introducing Japanese and Malaysian influences into dishes typically found on French, Italian or modern Australian menus.
